Happy Mother’s Day to all of my mom readers out there! I hope you are relaxing, enjoying a great day with your kiddos, and eating something delicious. And in case you didn’t already know, YOU are the perfect mother for your child. In honor of you and those special little people you love, I have created 4 yummy meals that are really simple. And by simple I mean FAST. That is the theme this week. Dinner on the table in less than 30 minutes, and 2 nights of the week the meals will take you less than 10 minutes to prep! How cool is that?! So here is what’s on the menu:
So here are the notes about this week:
-I have included Paleo and GF options on every recipe with the exception of the pasta. Maybe throw in some meat in favor of the noodles? Or try some zoodles with that recipe?
-The slow cooker meal will take you less than 10 minutes to prep (kind of my rule of thumb when it comes to those), but it does need to cook on HIGH and will be ready in about 4 hours.
-I LOVE soup. I love soup night. It is generally a part of my weekly meal plans every week. However, it’s getting warm so this will most likely be my last soup recipe until September! Also, we have no AC here in Germany. So you can see why this may be the last of the soups for awhile. Enjoy it! It is soooooo darn easy and delicious you may be wanting to eat it through the summer months. And it has a ring of summer to it since it includes BBQ sauce. To make this meal even easier, my suggestion would be to make it after you have the turkey burger meal. Throw on a few chicken breasts on the grill, and you can use that grilled chicken for the soup. Otherwise you may have to spend about 20 extra minutes cooking chicken. Also, to my Vegan and Vegetarian readers, I have added a perfect adaptation for you in the recipe! I often make it without chicken, and I’ll tell you what to do.
-Speaking of turkey burgers, this is probably the meal that will take you the longest. And it is still really simple. I love the sweet potato salad with it, you’ll be packing in those vegetables with that one!
-Lastly, I have added a new feature to each of my posts. It’s an orange Y button that stands for Yummly. Have you heard of Yummly? It’s pretty awesome. It’s a recipe website that provides you with ideas and personalizes recipes to your tastes. For example, I type in that I don’t like seafood. They’ll never show me a seafood recipe. It also creates a digital recipe box for you. Lots of yummy recipes from the blogosphere on that site. It also has a smartphone App to help you out. You can now add my recipes that you like to your yummly profile! Try it out, it’s pretty easy and doesn’t get you sucked in like Pinterest (although who doesn’t love pinterest?)
