Kid-Friendly Smoothie Bowls (Vegan, Paleo)

Ingredients

Dragon Fruit Bowl:

  • 1 frozen packet of pitaya*
  • 1 large banana
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened almond or nut milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries or strawberries
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp apple juice optional

Acai Bowl:

  • 1 frozen packet of acai*
  • 1 large banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries or blueberries
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/2 unsweetened almond milk or nut milk
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 2-3 tbsp apple juice optional

Additional toppings:

  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup flaked or shredded coconut
  • 1 kiwi sliced
  • 1/3 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Choose between the dragon fruit or acai smoothie bowl, and place those ingredients into a high powered blender. Pulse until smooth. Adjust for sweetness by adding in apple juice.
  2. Top with fresh fruit, coconut, seeds, nuts, bananas, or even granola.

*Pitaya packets and Acai packets can be found in the frozen section at many health food grocery stores.
