Bring water or milk to a gentle boil in a medium saucepan.
Add in salt and rolled oats, turn heat down to medium.
While the oats are cooking, add cinnamon.
Continue to cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, or until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
Pour oatmeal into bowl (or bowls).
Mix in walnuts and chia seeds.
Place bananas on top and drizzle with maple syrup.
Add in more cinnamon, or some extra milk to make it creamier.
