Pizza Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 14 oz can of garbanzo beans rinsed and drained
  • 3 tbsp tahini sesame butter spread
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 tbsp tomato sauce or marinara sauce
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil about 10 leaves
  • 1 tsp salt plus more to taste if needed
  • 1/4 cup water*

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a blender or food processor and pulse until smooth. You may need to stop a few times and scrape down the sides
  • Serve with vegetables, chips, crackers, or in a tortilla wrap.

Notes

*You may need more water, just depending on the consistency of the hummus. You want it to be thick and spreadable, but still well blended with all ingredients.
**If you can't find tahini, feel free to substitute with 1 tbsp olive oil, and a bit more water.
