Air Fryer Chicken Wings with Buffalo Sauce
Game day favorites don't need a deep fryer. These air fryer chicken wings cook up crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and are tossed in a homemade buffalo sauce that's bold without overpowering the chicken. They're always one of the first things to disappear.
Servings: 6
- 2 lbs Chicken Wings
- cooking spray
- 1 cup buffalo hot sauce
- 2 tbsp butter or ghee
Pat dry the chicken wings, and place inside the basket of your air fryer. Cook at 380 degrees for 20 minutes, pausing halfway to toss the wings in the basket.
Bump up the temperature to 400 degrees and cook another 10-15 minutes, or until nice and crispy.
Meanwhile, make the buffalo sauce. Melt the butter or ghee, and stir together with the buffalo sauce. It's helpful to have the hot sauce slightly warm or at room temperature, otherwise it hardens the melted butter or ghee.
Toss the hot chicken with the sauce in a large bowl. You can remove with tongs and serve, or place back in the air fryer for another few minutes so the sauce "sticks" more to the wings. Serve with extra wing sauce or ranch dressing.
