Pizza Meatballs

Pizza Meatballs are all the taste of pizza in meatball form! Pepperoni, fresh basil, sausage and ground beef, and Italian seasonings. Easy to make in the Air Fryer or Oven!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Italian Sausage
  • 1 lb ground turkey or beef
  • 3/4 cup diced up pepperoni
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the almond flour with Italian seasoning and sea salt.
  • In a large bowl, combine the sausage, turkey, pepperoni, almond flour combo, egg, and parmesan cheese (if using). Using your hands, mix well so everything is well incorporated.
  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, form the mixture into 2 inch round balls. Place on the baking sheet (they can be very close together so the meatballs all fit).
  • Transfer to the oven and bake for 17-20 minutes, or until lightly golden brown on top.
  • Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

*You can also use nut crumbs (Italian flavor) in place of the almond flour mixture.
