Dark Chocolate Almond Brownie Energy Balls are so simple to make and taste like a brownie dough ball. Delicious and so good for you!!

I have finally jumped on this Energy Bite No Bake bandwagon and I totally get what all the hype is about. So let me lay it out for you:

No refined sugar.

Grain Free.

Gluten Free.

Packed with Nutrients.

Paleo.

Vegan.

Oh and the most important…..These are delicious!!! Did you see the part about being simple? I mean like 5 minutes of your time simple? I’ve been eating these energy protein bars from Pure Organics that I love. What I don’t love is the $18 per box price tag. I finally set out to make something similar at less than half the price. These are it!!! All I did was combine dates with dark chocolate powder, almonds, and chia seeds. I love creating recipes with chia seeds as they’re full of fiber and great for digestion. The dates give the bites just enough sweetness, and the almonds and chia seeds provide the nutrients. No sugar or extra sweetener required! Next time I’ll add in a bit of protein powder to see how they taste, but for now, these are totally satisfying my chocolate craving. Only 5 ingredients, and I was able to put all of it in a food processor together:

Pulsed for a about 1 minute, stopped to scrape the side with a rubber spatula, and pulsed again for another 30 seconds. The most time consuming part, was rolling them into balls. So easy it’s almost ridiculous! Gone are the days that I spend $2 per energy bar when I can make these at home. My kids also LOVED these. I am experimenting with ideas for lunch box season now that school is almost here. These will be perfect!!

So easy you guys, it would be such a waste if you didn’t try for yourself. I shared with some of my girlfriends today at the pool, and they all loved them. If you have 5 minutes today, spend it with these little bites!!

I just made these. They were good, although a little dry and crumbly, and tasted just like brownies. Next time I make them I’ll add a couple extra dates to see if that helps with the texture. The kids enjoyed them and asked for more. Thanks for the recipe!
