Grilled Taco Burgers on lettuce wraps with guacamole, tomato, red onion, and jalapeño garnish. Easy recipe.

As a nutritionist, I love finding ways to make classic comfort food feel a little more nourishing. These burgers are packed with protein and healthy fats, and by using lettuce wraps or sweet potato slices instead of buns, you can keep things lighter without sacrificing flavor.

What makes these burgers extra special is how easy they are to customize. We pile them high with guacamole, fresh tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and jalapeños for a little heat. You can serve them inside a hamburger bun, or for a low carb, Paleo, or Whole30 version, wrap them in romaine lettuce or use grilled sweet potato slices as the bun.

If you love simple, nourishing dinners, my beef recipes are for you.

I love topping these with my quick One-Minute Guacamole and a squeeze of lime for that extra burst of flavor. We usually serve them with a fresh green salad for the easiest summer dinner. If you’re looking for easy salad ideas, try this my Mexican Slaw with No Mayo.

And with the 4th of July right around the corner, these are the perfect addition to your holiday menu. They’re fun, flavorful, and guaranteed to win over even the pickiest eaters!

Had these burgers tonight and served with the Watermelon and Blueberry Salad with Feta. These burgers are awesome – we topped them with guacamole, pickled red onions, pickled jalapeños and lettuce. Thanks for another great recipe Amy!

Thank you for the recipe! Here in México we also have a dish called “Taco”, but the dish consists in food inside a folded tortilla. What do you call “Taco” in your country? Because I see there is a ‘taco seasoning’, but I’ve never seen something like this in my country. Thank you again!
