As a nutritionist, I feel like every month is Nutrition month! But with spring in the air, and the natural cravings for all of the seasonal produce, March feels like a great time to celebrate making informed food choices, and developing healthful eating without sacrificing flavor.
This year’s Nutrition Month is centered around flavors from around the world. Here at Wholesomelicious, I am comitted to sharing cusine that reflects a wide variety of cultures. Whether it be Middle Eastern, European, Mexican, Asian, or traditional Southern American cuisine, a variety of flavors with a healthful twist are my favorite recipes.
I am sharing some fun products today that you can incorporate into your everyday cuisine!
The Products
Tahini is one of my absolute favorite ingredients when it comes to a delicious sauce or salad dressing. Mighty Sesame Tahini is such a fun product with a squeezable feature! I absolutely loved this Harissa flavored tahini for a spicy kick and creamy texture. I am often finding myself squeezing this all over many foods and bowls that I enjoy for lunch!
Reasons why I love Might Sesame Tahini
- It’s convenient! Not having to stir tahini, or try and spoon it out of a jar has been a total game changer. This tahini is smooth, and so simple to shake and squeeze.
- Nutritious! Tahini is one of these nutrient dense foods that packs in a variety of macro and micro nutrients: protein, healthy fats, calcium, iron, potassium, fiber, magnesium, and so much more.
- Versatile: I love using tahini in my salad dressing, as a flavor enhancer to a bowl of goodness, or even as a spread on a sandwich or wrap.
Coconut Secret Organic Coconut Aminos
For all of those Asian recipes that typically contain soy sauce and a lot of sodium, I always reach for Coconut Aminos! This Coconut Secret Coconut Aminos has less than 72% sodium than traditional soy sauce, and can be used as a 1:1 replacement in recipes.
It’s slightly sweet with a umami flavor, and so perfect for stir-fry! My favorite recipe using coconut aminos? Korean Beef Bowls are a huge hit in our family. I also love to use coconut aminos as a little splash to sauteed veggies. It adds just the right amount of sweet and salty!
Minute Rice
Who can argue about a side dish made in just one minute? Certainly not me! I love the convenience of Minute Rice and the fact that I can have this addition to my meal in just 60 seconds.
Minute Rice pairs so well with a variety of dishes, and I especially love that it’s perfectly portioned to provide just the right amount! The Brown Rice and Red Quinoa combo is my favorite. I love pairing this with proteins, veggies, and a sauce or dressing for a yummy bowl. It has become a staple for me for Taco Tuesday!
As someone who is always on the hunt for “on-the-go” meals, Minute Rice has sure been a lifesaver for lunch and dinner, even breakfast! Minute Rice has also been great for meal prep, and having lunches ready for my kids in the morning before heading to school.
Nutiva Hazelnut Spread
This Vegan nutella tastes absolutely amazing on fruit, or for a fun spread on bread, pancakes, or waffles. You can also enjoy straight out of the jar! My kids love to enjoy a spoonful with some fresh strawberries for an afterschool snack.
I love this Nutiva has created this delicious hazelnut spread that contains 40% less sugar than the leading brands! It definitely has all the same yummy flavor, without the feeling of dessert for breakfast. This creamy spread is plant based, certified organic, Non-GMO, and Vegan!
Recipe 33
Almonds are one of my absolute favorite “go-to” snacks. I especially love flavored almonds, and these almonds from Recipe 33 are no exception! What makes Recipe 33 unique, is that the flavor of almonds is infused inside the almond to prevent a mess all over your fingers. These infused almonds are made with real food ingredients like dried dill, rosemary, dried vanilla bean pods, dried serrano peppers, and more! I did not find one flavor I didn’t like. No additives!
These Keto friendly almonds are the perfect snack to pack, are a great addition to a charcuterie board, or even as some added crunch to your favorite salad! I paired the Garlic Dill almonds with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and white cheddar.
Recipe 33 is offering a $2 off any 4oz bag of almonds purchased from their site!
