This roundup of 40+ Whole30 Air Fryer recipes is exactly what you need for building a library of healthy air fryer recipes.

It’s that time of year where we are all striving to eat better, but want to mix things up in the kitchen and try something new. Oh yes my friends, Easy Air Fryer Recipes are here to make it so much easier for you in the kitchen! As a nutritionist, I love taking those fried foods I used to love, and making them healthier and simple to make!

Why an Air Fryer?

I can come up with several reasons why I love my air fryer:

  • Saves me time as things cook much faster in the air fryer
  • Super convenient to heat up already frozen foods! I use this to make my kids hash browns, veggie patties, bean burgers, Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Gnocchi, and much more.
  • Veggies have never tasted better. You get that extra crispy texture that makes everyone in my family more likely to devour. Their favorite? My Buffalo Cauliflower Tots.
  • Easy and quick weeknight meals that don’t take up oven space
  • And the appetizers!!! It’s my favorite way to make some good apps

What is Whole30?

The Whole30 diet is taking 30 days to eat REAL FOOD without added preservatives, sugar, gluten, dairy, and alcohol. These foods are very prevalent in the SAD (Standard American Diet), and can build up inflammation over time. Cutting them out of your diet for 30 days can be so beneficial to the body! Better sleep, more energy, more mental clarity, and even weight loss are just a few of the added benefits. Many people notice so many other benefits!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 1 large egg
  • 2/3 cup almond flour, (blanched)
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees. Cut your chicken breast into strips about 1 inch thick, and 3 inches long.
  • In a smaller bowl, whisk together egg and water. In a flat bowl or plate, mix together almond flour, pecans, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and sea salt.
  • Dip each chicken strip into egg mixture, then into almond flour mixture, shake off any excess. Carefully place each chicken strip into the basket of your air fryer. Repeat with remaining chicken.
  • Sprinkle each chicken tender with black pepper, and additional sea salt if desired. Cook for 10 minutes at 350 degrees, open the basket and flip each strip over. Cook for an additional 3 minutes at 400 degrees to get extra crispy.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce: marinara, ketchup, honey mustard, or barbecue sauce.
