If you’re looking for a quick, fresh, and crowd-pleasing appetizer, this Layered Greek Dip is about to become your new go-to! It’s bursting with Mediterranean flavor, takes only a few minutes to assemble, and uses a handful of simple ingredients that you can grab ready-made from the store. This means NO cooking, NO baking, and NO fuss. Just layer, scoop, and enjoy!

This dip starts with a creamy hummus base, followed by tangy tzatziki, and is piled high with crunchy cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, briny feta, red onion, capers, and fresh mint. Every bite is bright, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. I also love that this dip is festive and pretty around the holidays, similar to my pomegranate avocado dip!
It’s the perfect appetizer for parties, game day, potlucks, or anytime you need something healthy and flavorful with minimal effort. And because it’s packed with fiber, healthy fats, and fresh vegetables, it’s a lighter option that still feels satisfying.
Why You’ll Love this Easy Dip!
- No cooking required: the easiest appetizer on the planet!
- Uses store-bought staples: I bought my hummus and Tzatziki at Trader Joe’s for ultimate convenience! Feel free to use a homemade hummus, or your own tzatziki.
- Fresh and flavorful with crunchy veggies and herbs.
- Naturally gluten-free and easy to serve with veggies or pita.
- Perfect for meal prep or entertaining: it stays delicious for hours.

How to Make Layered Greek Dip
Here’s what goes into this layered Mediterranean dip:
- Hummus – store-bought or homemade
- Tzatziki – creamy and cooling with some fresh dill
- Cucumber – finely diced for crunch.
- Tomatoes – cherry or grape tomatoes work best!
- Red onion – adds a sharp bite, but you can also use green onion
- Feta cheese – for that classic salty tang
- Capers – bring briny Mediterranean flavor. You can also use kalamata olives, but my personal preference is capers.
- Fresh mint – makes everything pop with freshness. You can also substitute with parsley.
This appetizer comes together in three easy steps:
- Spread the hummus evenly on a shallow serving dish or platter.
- Layer with tzatziki on top of the hummus.
- Add the toppings: cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, feta, capers, and fresh mint.
That’s it—your dip is ready to serve! You can make it right before guests arrive or prep it ahead by assembling everything except the tomatoes and cucumber (add those just before serving to keep it fresh).

Serving and Storing:
This dip can be served with pita chips, warm pita, crackers, or fresh veggies like bell pepper and carrots. It also works beautifully as a topping over grilled chicken, in a wrap, or in a grain bowl for lunch.
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container for up to 2 days. The flavors continue to meld and taste even better the next day, although the cucumbers may release a little water; just drain if needed!
