How to Make Layered Greek Dip

Here’s what goes into this layered Mediterranean dip:

  • Hummus – store-bought or homemade
  • Tzatziki – creamy and cooling with some fresh dill
  • Cucumber – finely diced for crunch.
  • Tomatoes – cherry or grape tomatoes work best!
  • Red onion – adds a sharp bite, but you can also use green onion
  • Feta cheese – for that classic salty tang
  • Capers – bring briny Mediterranean flavor. You can also use kalamata olives, but my personal preference is capers.
  • Fresh mint – makes everything pop with freshness. You can also substitute with parsley.

This appetizer comes together in three easy steps:

  1. Spread the hummus evenly on a shallow serving dish or platter.
  2. Layer with tzatziki on top of the hummus.
  3. Add the toppings: cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, feta, capers, and fresh mint.

Ingredients 

  • 12 oz Container of hummus
  • 10 – 12 oz Container of tzatziki
  • 1 medium English cucumber, finely diced
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup Finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup Crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp Capers , (or sliced olives)
  • 3 tbsp Fresh chopped mint

Instructions 

  • Spread the hummus evenly on the bottom of a shallow serving dish or platter.
  • Spoon the tzatziki over the hummus gently to create the second layer.
  • Sprinkle the cucumbers, tomato, and red onion on top.
  • Add feta, capers, and fresh mint as the final layer.
  • Serve immediately with pita crackers, pita bread, veggies, or crackers.
